Nate attended Tulane University where he earned a Master of Health Administration degree.  Following graduation, he completed a fellowship with the VISN 17 Office prior to his first position with VA Voluntary Service (VAVS) at the VA North Texas Healthcare System.

His service with VAVS includes stints as Chief, Voluntary Service at VA Medical Centers in San Antonio, Texas; Columbia, Missouri; and Bay Pines, Florida. In 2021, the renaming of VAVS to the VA Center for Development and Civic Engagement (CDCE) coincided with his transition to his current position as a Specialist concentrating on partnership development and field support.

Nate also serves as a CDCE Academy faculty member, and professional errand runner for his wife and two daughters.
